Verifying your email address

Your 1smart.link account requires email verification before you can access any features. If you signed up but cannot log in, or if you see a message asking you to verify your email, this article covers the most common causes and how to fix each one.

How verification works

When you sign up, 1smart.link automatically sends a verification email from no-reply@1smart.link (or a similar address on the 1smart.link domain). That email contains a magic link — a one-time URL with a unique token. Clicking the link confirms your email address and fully activates your account.

Until you complete this step, your account remains inactive and you cannot use the dashboard, create links, or access any paid features.

Verification email is in your spam or junk folder

Most "missing" verification emails are simply caught by spam filters. This is the first thing to check.

  1. Open your email client and navigate to your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folder.
  2. Search for emails from no-reply@1smart.link or with the subject line containing "verify" or "verification".
  3. If you find the email, open it and click the magic link inside.
  4. Once the verification page confirms success, return to www.1smart.link and log in.

Tip: After finding the email, mark it as "Not spam" and add the 1smart.link domain to your contacts or safe-senders list. This prevents future emails from 1smart.link being filtered.

You typed your email address incorrectly during sign-up

If you entered a misspelled email address, the verification email was sent to an address you do not control. There is no way to change the email address on an unverified account.

  1. Go to www.1smart.link and click Sign Up.
  2. Create a new account using the correct email address.
  3. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the new verification email.
  4. Click the magic link to verify.

Your verification token has expired

Verification tokens are valid for a limited time. If you wait too long before clicking the magic link, the token may no longer work. You will typically see an error message on the verification page when this happens.

  1. Go to www.1smart.link and attempt to log in with your email and password.
  2. The login page will display a prompt indicating your email is unverified, along with a Resend button.
  3. Click Resend to request a fresh verification email.
  4. Open the new email and click the magic link promptly.

You never received the email at all

If the email is not in your inbox, spam folder, or any filtered tab, try these steps:

  1. Confirm you are checking the same email address you used to sign up.
  2. Log in at www.1smart.link with your credentials and use the Resend button on the verification prompt.
  3. Wait a few minutes — email delivery can occasionally be delayed.
  4. If the email still does not arrive, check whether your email provider is blocking messages from the 1smart.link domain. Corporate and university email systems sometimes block transactional emails silently.
  5. Try signing up with a different email address (such as a personal Gmail or Outlook account) if your primary provider continues to block delivery.

Note: The verification email is sent from the 1smart.link domain. If your organisation uses strict email filtering, ask your IT team to allowlist 1smart.link.
