Publishing and sharing your bio page

This guide walks you through publishing your bio page so it goes live on the web, then sharing it across social media profiles, messaging apps, email signatures, and printed materials. Follow these steps once you have finished building your page in the BioLink Builder.

Note: You need at least one widget on your bio page before the Publish button becomes active. If the button is greyed out, add a widget first.

Publish your bio page

  1. Open your bio page in the BioLink Builder.
  2. Click the Publish button in the top-right corner of the builder.
  3. Your page is now live. It is accessible at www.1smart.link/{your-slug} — or, if you have connected a custom domain, at {your-custom-domain}/{your-slug}.
  4. Copy the live URL from the address bar or the confirmation message that appears after publishing.

That is all it takes. Anyone with the link can now view your bio page.

Tip: If you want a shorter or branded share URL, you can create a custom-domain short link in the Links Manager that redirects to your bio page URL.

Copy and share the link

Once published, the fastest way to distribute your bio page is to copy the URL and paste it wherever your audience spends time. Below are the most common destinations and how to add the link to each.

Instagram bio

Instagram allows only one clickable link in your profile. Your bio page is the ideal candidate because it contains every link you want followers to visit.

  1. Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
  2. Tap Edit profile.
  3. Paste your bio page URL into the Website field.
  4. Tap Done (or the checkmark).

TikTok bio

TikTok also provides a single link slot in your profile.

  1. Open TikTok and go to your profile.
  2. Tap Edit profile.
  3. Paste your bio page URL into the Website field.
  4. Save your changes.

WhatsApp Business profile

  1. Open WhatsApp Business and go to Settings → Business tools → Business profile.
  2. Paste your bio page URL into the Website field.
  3. Tap Save.

Email signature

Adding your bio page to your email signature means every message you send includes a gateway to all your links.

  1. Open the signature settings in your email client (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.).
  2. Add a line of text such as "My links" or your brand name.
  3. Highlight that text and insert a hyperlink pointing to your bio page URL.
  4. Save the signature.

Other platforms

  • X (Twitter) bio — paste the URL into the Website field on your profile.
  • LinkedIn profile — add it under the Contact info or Featured section.
  • YouTube channel description — include the URL in the About section or video descriptions.

Download a QR code for your bio page

A QR code lets people reach your bio page by scanning with their phone camera — useful for packaging inserts, business cards, posters, and event materials.

  1. Go to Dashboard → Bio Pages (the /dashboard/biolinks page).
  2. Find your bio page in the list and click the QR Download button next to it.
  3. Choose one of the seven colour presets: Classic, Orange, Dark, Navy, Purple, Green, or Gold.
  4. Optionally, upload your logo. It will appear as a rounded-square overlay in the centre of the QR code.
  5. Click Download and select your preferred format — PNG for digital use or SVG for print.

Tip: For packaging and printed materials, SVG gives you lossless quality at any size. See Article #19 for a deeper guide on QR codes.

Enable the verified badge

You can display a blue verified badge (a small blue-tick icon) next to your bio page title. This is a cosmetic element — it does not represent an official verification claim. It simply adds a visual trust signal.

  1. Open your bio page in the BioLink Builder.
  2. Navigate to Settings → Advanced.
  3. Toggle the is_verified switch on.
  4. Click Publish to update the live page.

The badge renders as a blue checkmark icon next to your page title, visible to anyone who visits the page.

What happens next

Your bio page is live and reachable from every platform where you have shared the link. Any changes you make in the BioLink Builder take effect the next time you hit Publish — there is no need to update the URL or re-share it. The same link continues to work.

If your page is not loading or the link seems broken, double-check that you have published at least once and that the slug in the URL matches what is shown in the builder.
